I qualified as a counsellor in 1998 and as a casework supervisor in 2001 and have undertaken much additional training since then.  I have worked regularly in the private and voluntary sector with a wide range of both clients and issues.  I have previously managed counselling services within a NHS Hospital Foundation Trust based in Greater Manchester and in several organisations in the voluntary sector including the LGBTQI+ community.  I also taught counselling for many years in colleges and universities in the local area.  This means that I have a wealth of experience that I can bring into the therapy room to help you to find the solutions that you are looking for.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am also listed on the Professional Standards Authority Accredited Register. This means I am committed to working professionally and ethically by abiding to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in the Counselling Professions and am subject to the complaints procedure of the BACP.

I work with people from all backgrounds with a variety of issues.  I also specialise in working with difference in gender and sexuality issues, working with people from the LGBTQI+ community whose sexual orientation, gender identity or sexual lifestyle may be misunderstood by others.

I have been running my own counselling and supervision practice for many years and have a self contained office in the garden of my home which is located in Fallowfield, approximately two miles south of Manchester City Centre. On street parking is available outside.  I am close to several bus routes running from the city centre to various parts of South Manchester and approximately one mile from Burton Road Tram Stop and also Mauldeth Road Rail Station.  There are no steps to gain entry to the garden but there is one small step to gain access to my garden office.
